I was so excited when I ordered this. My neck hurts constantly, and a heated, portable neck massager sounded so amazing!
Unfortunately, it doesn't move, or physically massage anything. It it just issues little electric shocks. Lots of them. I wore it for a little bit to give it a chance, because hey, maybe it's stimulating the muscles or something?
The instructions weren't very informative so I punched the buttons until something started happening, then I cranked up the intensity. If a little is good, a lot is better, right? It started out feeling like a bunch of tiny little needles snapping me in my neck. And the longer you wear it, the higher the intensity seems to go!
Finally I couldn't take it anymore, so I took it off, and put it on my unsuspecting husband. He wore it for a few minutes, and then it started ramping up, and really shocking him. At that point he ripped it off of his neck and while I was laughing uncontrollably, he accused me of putting a dog shock collar on him and controlling it with my phone. Oh, if only.
Anyway, that alone was worth the price of admission, but we played with it a little more afterwards, and eventually got it dialed in. It does get pleasantly warm, and the electrical stimulation can be turned down from a LOT from the point we started out at. I would still like it better if it squeezed my muscles, but it's not bad and maybe it will help a little.
